Proudly embedded in our communities.

From our earliest days under our founder, Rose Reschini, and through all the decades since, civic leadership and building community have stood at the very core of our values. Our leaders and our teams contribute their time and get personally involved.   The Reschini Group honors our promise to lift up the communities where we live, work and play.

A legacy stretching nearly nine decades.

In 1938, in the depths of the Great Depression, Rose Pugliese took a bold path rarely traveled by women of her time—she founded a business. Where others saw only risk, Rose saw opportunity.

With one dollar in hand, Rose received her agent’s license and began her career as an entrepreneur, appointed the agency principal for the region by the Saint Paul Insurance Company–and becoming one of the first female business owners in Pennsylvania.  She overcame doubters with her tireless work ethic, ever-expanding knowledge base, scrappy ingenuity, and undeniable sense of confidence and pride in her company.

Rose’s personal life intersected with her professional journey when she met a young Joe Reschini, fresh from constructing hydroelectric dams in Siberia. Their meeting, masterfully orchestrated by Joe’s uncle—a missionary priest recently returned from India—sparked a marriage and a formidable business partnership. Joe joined the business in 1941, descending into the coal mines in and around Indiana County, PA, to meet with workers and offer them life insurance.

The Reschini Insurance Agency grew steadily, and Rose and Joe became active and involved civic leaders–helping to either found, or greatly advance, such groups and activities as the Quota Club, the American Cancer Society auction, the Christmas Angel project, Troop 27 of the Boy Scouts of America—and so many more.  They also played a key role in establishing the St. Thomas More University Parish on the campus of Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Leadership of The Reschini Group eventually transitioned to their son, Roger, and later to their grandson, Joe—marking three generations of dedication to excellence and community service.

For Rose, this journey meant more than just a business—it became a legacy of responsible leadership and community stewardship. She laid a strong foundation for a company that continues to fuel opportunities for businesses and embody her values.

Today, nearly 90 years since Rose’s courageous beginning, The Reschini Group remains recognized as a leader in the insurance industry, known for integrity and deep community involvement.
